Anopril

Anopril is a weight loss pill that claims to be even more effective than some prescription weight loss supplements. The website is plastered with images of doctors who supposedly claim it is effective in decreasing appetite, increasing energy, and burning fat. It is also known as Anopril-XR which we suspect is to make it sound more like a prescription drug.  We decided to see if there was some truth to these claims.

How Does Anopril Work?

The only ingredient in Anopril is actually a blend called Hydromethyline. This contains some uncommon ingredients that most people have never even heard of. We looked up the individual ingredients and found that many are used to treat other issues besides weight gain. One ingredient, Hydroxytryptophan, is actually effective in treating depression, but all studies done on it have been inconclusive. The other ingredients it contains are useful for other medical conditions, but not weight loss.

Final Thoughts

We recommend that you be weary of those products that claim to be better than prescription medications. If you are able to get a prescription then that is usually a sign that you need to lose more than just a few pounds. If you look at percentage of body weight lost then some over-the-counter drugs will provide great percentages. However, if you look at actual pounds lost then most prescriptions are much better. You cannot trust that just because they claim to be better than a prescription they will help you lose more weight.

We overall didn’t find any reason for this product to be a successful weight loss pill. It’s ingredients have not been shown effective in weight loss. It seems to be trying to hard to be a prescription drug and has missed the weight loss mark.
