Shake Weight
Originally made for men, but now marketed toward women, the Shake Weight is an ever changing 2.5 pound dumbbell that supposedly helps you to maximize your workouts with Dynamic Inertia Technology to make every muscle work, toning and tightening arms as it goes with just 6 minutes per day.
It’s nice that the Shake Weight is battery and power free. Obviously, it prevents some from electrocuting themselves, and it makes it considerably cheaper to keep up. You just have to shake. But frankly, who wouldn’t make fun of the Shake Weight? I would. It seems ridiculous. It makes you wonder if the Shake Weight is worth the embarrassment.
The Value of Shake Weight
Regardless of who the Shake Weight is targeting right now, a shaking piece of plastic in your metal in your hand will make the muscles work harder, if you’re comparing it to a piece of plastic with the same weight that does not shake.
2.5 pounds will never be quite as effective as 250 pounds (if you can lift that much). But the Shake Weight never said anything about being the incredible way to bulk up. This 2.5 pound weight is meant to help you to tone up, tightening flabby arms. And for that purpose, the Shake Weight is just right.
Is 6 Minutes Enough?
This is where I get doubtful. Yes, 6 minutes sound easy, convenient, and desirable. Nobody has 8 hours a day to work out. But 6 minutes? Really? That’s an exaggeration. If you use the Shake Weight for 6 minutes a day, chances are you won’t be seeing results any time soon. But if you use it for 20 or even 30 minutes a day, chances are you will see much better results.
Should I Pay $19.99 for Shake Weight
So far, that seems to be the best price. But if you want the best price, you should go to your local Target or Walmart. If you do, you don’t have to pay for shipping and handling.
Conclusion
The Shake Weight is not a diet pill, and it’s not a fat burner. The Shake Weight only targets one area of the body, and you shouldn’t give it any more credit than that. But if you specifically want to tone up and tighten the arms, Shake Weight is good on its word.
