The Harcombe Diet
Now an “obesity researcher”, Zoe Harcombe was at one time a college student at Cambridge struggling with her own weight issues; mostly because she has trouble with counting calories. Does that sound like anybody you know?
She created the Harcombe Diet, which allows you to lose weight without all of the complications. There is an entire website that will provide you with help and support along the way.
It may come as no surprise to you that this multi-phase diet is a lot like other big diets that have already hit the market. It has 3 phases including a detox phase, a weight loss phase, and a maintenance phase. The Harcombe Diet purports itself as one that can produce some pretty extreme results.
The Type of Diet
The Harcombe Diet is technically a low carb diet. It focuses on eating lean proteins and vegetables. But the Harcombe Diet is one of the few low carb diets that also allows you to eat more fruit. This weight loss diet is not a strict bare bones low carb diet. It’s also a naturalists’ diet.
The Harcombe Diet focuses more on eating “real foods” than it does on eating a “low carb diet.” In other words, this weight loss diet wants you to avoid processed foods, unnatural foods, and anything other than your most basic forms of any given food (fruits, vegetables, plain chicken, etc.).
Does the Harcombe Diet Work?
The Harcombe Diet focuses on healthier eating habits. Yes, you should still watch your calorie intake. Eating too many calories won’t help you to lose weight, even if you are sticking only to good foods. But you can be a little more lenient on yourself when counting. If you don’t count calories, the diet could still help you lose weight, but it will be harder for some people.
The End Story
The Harcombe Diet is successful. It comes from the UK and so that is where you have to buy it from. You could chose to try this diet, or to try any of the others from around the world that are similar.
Or you could do it on your own, consulting the internet if you need a little extra help from time to time. But if you follow this particular kind of diet, it is one of the harder, but healthier options available.
