Lipo 6
Boasting of 6 active ingredients for weight loss, Lipo 6 uses synephrine, guggulsterones, yohimbe HCL, caffeine anhydrous, and bioperine. It is largely marketed toward the body building community. Some of the women with picture testimonials have arms bigger than my thighs. Okay, I may be exaggerating a little, but it gives you a basic idea of the expectations associated with Lipo6.
The Good:Lipo 6 posts a great variety of before and after pictures as well as testimonials to go with them. It is said to be "scientifically engineered" to produce successful and significant results with women as well as men. Finally, it contains ingredients such as caffeine anhydrous to stimulate the metabolism and yohimbe to stimulate testosterone growth.
The Bad:So my first bad point, or maybe ugly point(if you are going to have the good and the bad, you have to have "the ugly" at some point) is that it is targeted specifically toward body builders. For that community, great. But for the rest of us, it can be a little bit intimidating to say the least. Especially for women, unless you are Xena warrior princess or something….wow. So moving onto more serious points, Lipo-6 was originally formulated using ephedra. The thing I find with former users of ephedra is that as companies, there seems to be a pattern of them taking the easy and popular way out. Is this good for business? For a time, yes. But is this good for the customer? That is a big, resounding no! This basically means they are not taking a hard look into potential side effects, actual effectiveness in delivering what it promises, etc. They are all about the marketing scheme. Fortunately for the public, companies like this have paid dearly, especially when you think about ephedra. Second, some of these ingredients aren't even for weight loss. A few of them have only been speculated to help with weight loss at all, no clinical trials or studies have corresponded with those ideas. Guggulsterones have only been found useful in a certain form of the powder, which most manufacturers don't actually use. And those that have been found effective have some nasty side effects.
The SkinnySo what is the final conclusion on Lipo 6. Well, the ingredients aren't proven at all, are proven but only in certain forms not used by most manufacturers, or have some nasty side effects associated with them. Maybe it's just me, but I would rather look elsewhere.
